Dreiländerprotest „Jeder Mensch hat das Recht auf ein gutes Leben!“

3:0 für den grenzüberschreitenden sozial-politischen Protest
Unmittelbar vor Beginn der Fußballeuropameisterschaft, die Basel völlig auf den Kopf stellen wird und die Menschen vorübergehend zu aktiven Mitgliedern einer internationalen Kommerzbewegung macht, findet zirka 50 km entfernt im badischen Freiburg eine Dreiländerdemonstration statt, die sich für ein Miteinander jenseits von Konsum und Marketingstrategien stark macht.
Etwa 60 Gruppen und Organisationen sowie politische Zusammenhänge aus der Nordwestschweiz, dem Elsass und Baden-Württemberg versammeln sich am 7. Juni unter der Losung „Jeder Mensch hat das Recht auf ein gutes Leben“.
Während die Stadt Basel einer hemmungslosen profitorientierten Logik des Spektakels unterworfen wird und der öffentliche Raum unter Kommerz und polizeiliche Kontrolle gestellt wird, demonstrieren in der Nachbarstadt Freiburg Obdachlose, Erwerbslose, Menschen in prekären Lebensverhältnissen, MigrantInnen und andere. Unser gemeinsames Ziel ist es einerseits zu zeigen, dass Obdach- oder Erwerbslosigkeit, Prekariat und Flüchtlingsdasein keine Randphänomene der Gesellschaft sind. Das Risiko in die Armut abzurutschen besteht heute allgemein.
Andererseits geht es auch darum, die Vielfalt und das Ausmaß der Talente und Fähigkeiten sichtbar zu machen, die so häufig ungesehen und ungenutzt zu verkümmern drohen, sei es, weil sie schlicht unerwünscht sind, sei es, weil sie nicht marktkonform präsentiert werden können oder wollen.
„Die Stadt gehört allen“ forderten Obdachlose 1998 bei einem Marsch auf Stuttgart. Während sich der „event- und tourismusorientierte Urbanismus“ nicht für die realen Bedürfnisse der Bewohner interessiert (und zwar sowohl der sesshaften wie der nicht sesshaften) und den öffentlichen Raum, notfalls durch Vertreibung, für sich beansprucht, wird sich die Dreiländerdemonstration dieser Verfügungsmacht auf positive Weise entgegen stellen.
Der Aufruf zur Dreiländerdemonstration spricht sich für das soziale Recht auf Wohnen aus, verurteilt prekäre Beschäftigungsverhältnisse und staatliche Repressionsmassnahmen gegen Erwerbslose und setzt sich ein für ein bedingungsloses Grundeinkommen für alle BürgerInnen, unabhängig von deren Staatsbürgerschaft.

ACTION DE PROTESTATION COMMUNE DE LA REGION DES TROIS FRONTIERES
„Chacun a droit à une bonne vie!“

3:0 en faveur d'une action de protestation sociopolitique transfrontalière
Juste avant le début du championnat européen de football, qui chamboule la ville de Bâle et veut faire des habitants une masse de consommateurs, une manifestation des trois frontières a lieu à 50 km de distance, dans la ville de Freiburg. Cette manifestation vise à renforcer la solidarité, au-delà de la consommation et des stratégies de marketing.
Une soixantaine de groupes et d'organisations issues du paysage politique du Nord-Ouest de la Suisse, d'Alsace et de Bade-Wurtemberg se réunissent le 7 juin, pour affirmer que „chacun-e a droit à une bonne vie“.
Pendant l'Euro 2008, Bâle assiste à un spectacle dominé par la logique du profit, l'espace public est marqué par la marchandisation et le contrôle policier. Non loin de là, à Freiburg, une manifestation de sans-abri, de chômeuses et chômeurs, de personnes en situation précaire, de migrant-e-s et d'autres milieux lance un signal différent. Notre objectif commun est de montrer que la situation des SDF, des personnes au chômage, des précaires et des réfugié-e-s n'est pas un phénomène marginal. Le risque de tomber dans la pauvreté concerne aujourd'hui un très large éventail de la société.
Il s'agit aussi de donner une visibilité à la diversité et l'ampleur des talents et des capacités, qui sont trop souvent ignorés et oubliés – parce qu'ils sont rejetés par la société, ou encore parce qu'ils ne se prêtent pas à la logique marchande.
„La ville appartient à toutes et tous“, c'est ce que proclamaient les sans-abri lors de leur marche vers Stuttgart, en 1998. Tandis que l'on assiste à un urbanisme „des événements et du tourisme“, qui ne répond pas aux besoins de la population (sédentaire ou non-sédentaire), chassant les personnes indésirables de l'espace public, la manifestation des trois frontières s'oppose à cette logique de manière positive.
L'appel à la manifestation des trois frontières souligne le droit social au logement, dénonce la précarisation des rapports de travail et les mesures de répression contre les personnes au chômage; il exige en outre une allocation universelle inconditionnelle pour toutes et tous, indépendante de la nationalité.

Immediately before the beginning of the European football championship, that will turn Basel upside down and human beings into active participants of an international movement of commercialism for a while, about 50 kilometers away from that, in Baden in the city of Freiburg, a Dreiländerdemonstration (demonstration of the three countries) – which stands up for solidarity apart from any kind of consumption and marketing strategies – will take place.
About 60 groups and organizations as well as political interrelations from the Northwestern Swiss, the Alsace and from the whole German Federal territory – that have the words “Every human being has the right of having a good life” as their motto – will meet on the 7th of June 2008
While the city of Basel will be subject to a logic of the spectacle that is unscrupulously orientated towards profits, and while the public sphere will be posed under commercialism and police control, in the neighboring town of Freiburg homeless, unemployed, people that are living under precarious conditions, immigrants and others will be demonstrating. On the one hand, it is our common aim to show that homelessness and unemployment, precarious living conditions and living as a refugee are no marginal phenomena of our society. The risk to descend into poverty is present in a very general sense nowadays. On the other hand, it is also about making visible the variety and the range of talents and skills that are so often in danger of wasting away without being noticed and used – be it because they are simply not wanted, be it because they cannot or don’t want be presented in conformity with the present market.
“The city belongs to everyone” was claimed in 1998 by some homeless people on a march to Stuttgart. While the “urbanism orientated towards events and tourism” is not interested in the existing needs of the citizens (that means, in the needs of the settled citizens as well as in those of the non-settled) and claims the public sphere to be its property – if necessary by expulsing people –, the demonstration of the three countries will face this power of disposal in a positive way.
The call for the demonstration of the three countries declares itself in favor of the social right to live, condemns precarious working conditions and measures of repression against unemployed and stands for an unconditional basic income for all citizens, independent of their nationality.
